China sets new bullet train speed targets

China is aiming to increase the speed of its bullet trains to as much as 1400 kilometers per hour, according to reports. This would make it the fastest train in the world.

The country is currently testing the CR400BFG, a new type of highspeed train that could reach a top speed of 610 km/h. The train is designed for use on the BeijingShanghai HighSpeed Railway, which has a maximum speed limit of 350 km/h and carries over 20 million passengers a year.

China has been investing heavily in its highspeed rail network in recent years, with the aim of becoming the world's leader in this field. The country already has the world's longest highspeed rail line, which connects Beijing and Shanghai, and is planning to expand its network to cover most of the country.

The new speed targets for China's bullet trains are part of the country's broader efforts to improve transportation infrastructure and promote economic development. However, achieving these targets will require significant technological advancements and investment.
